Want better search results for the ebay items you’re selling?

Want better search results for the ebay items you’re selling?

Many think that to successfully sell on ebay all a seller has to do is list.

False. Well partially false, certainly an item can’t sell if it’s not listed.

And I should say that if you are selling a highly desirable item at rock bottom prices yes the item I think would sell.

However if you are like thousands of ebay sellers and you are listing your items you are facing a lot of competition.

One of the ways to stand out is to write an ebay guide related to the products you are selling.

So if you offer women’s shoes you could write a guide on how to know what shoe size your are!

If you sell winter coats, a guide on what’s the warmest coat might be a good fit.

The guide once published is not only available to ebay sellers it’s fed to other search engines so it can be picked up by Google,Yahoo,Bing etc..

To write a successful guide be sure to put your item in the guide’s title and pick the correct ebay categories to tag your guide.

If I’m selling Party Shoes I want Party Shoes in the title of my guide and I’d want to tag women’s shoes.

The tag function is at the bottom of the writing an ebay guide template.

Once published your items that are related to your ebay guide will appear at the bottom of your guide helping to increase customer traffic to your offerings.

You can write an effective guide in under 30 minutes and your items will reap the results of increased search results on the internet which can mean  more SALES for you!

Is it time for better prices for your ebay auctions?

Many ebay sellers have found that Sunday nights are an excellent time to have their ebay auctions end.
This is true for profit and non-profit charitable sellers. Yet even following this method sometimes you’ll find your item will end with no bids.
You scratch your head and wonder why?
First you want to make sure you are following ebay’s best practices in writing a great title and description checking that you are not neglecting  your item specifics.
You also want to take clear and clean pictures clearly showing your item from all angles noting any defects you see.

So you say to me ” Kathy, I’ve done all that and my listing still received no bids”.
Ok did you promote your listing with any Social Media?
What’s key with Social Media is to grab the attention of your potential customers when you first list so they can be aware of your great product AND a day or two  before your listing ends AND then again the day your item will end.
All Social Media whether it’s Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google plus, Instagram, Snapchat etc.. works with a feed of some kind and you want to promote your item without spamming several times to get shoppers looking at your listing.
As you will be posting and reposting on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Google Plus, Instagram etc be fun and informative to your social media followers so your posts are not just here’s my product for sale buy me, buy me!
Let’s say the  ebay auction item you are selling  is a great pair of jeans. You could  say something about how great jeans are for the weekend, how great it is to add another pair of favorite jeans to your wardrobe etc..
So in short to  sell successfully by auction on ebay it’s not enough to list your item among the thousands of products listed every minute on ebay.
If you want juicy prices for your ebay auction listings you’ll need juicy social  media posts and several scattered throughout your listing’s lifespan particularly towards the end of the auction!
Use this tip and let me know your ebay auction selling success!

Holiday Boards on Pinterest

Pinterest is an effective social marketing and branding tool for any size business( small, medium and large) on Social Media whether your a brick and mortar store, internet or both.

Let’s say you have a Father’s Day Board on Pinterest.
What do you do once the Holiday is over? Do you leave the Board up or delete it?

Rather than lose the followers to that board you can rename the board to something appropriate. So if it’s been let’s say a Mother’s Day Board you could relabel it “What to get that woman in your life” or “Perfect gifts for Her”. You get the idea?

You don’t want to relabel something that has nothing to do with what you were pinning as people followed that board for that content.

One thing to keep in mind anytime you change the name of a Pinterest Board you are changing the URL. If you have put the board somewhere else in the social media world or if you have embedded it as a widget on a page renaming the Pinterest Board will kill the link. In that case you’d want to not change the name.

So in 5 seconds(or less) you can rename your board and keep your followers. It’s a win win solution.

Next year when that Holiday rolls around just relabel your board again and you’re good to go.
Time to get busy pinning!

The Holiday is over what do I do with my Holiday Pinterest Board?
